Part of the community.
Aiming to be a focal point in the local community, Guist General Store, is more than just a village shop. It’s a newsagents, an off-licence, a general store, a Post Office and with the opening of the Café in 2014, and subsequent redesign in 2021, the shop has masses of potential.
More about us
General goods
The shop sells morning papers and magazines, confectionery and groceries including fresh vegetables, fresh meat, milk and bread. The major refit in May 2013 has transformed the shop into a bright and cheerful store. The facilities on offer have improved immensely including new fridge/freezer units and a wider product choice. A local bakery provides bread, cakes and pastries on a daily bases and filled rolls are also available on request.
Local suppliers
We aim to help support local suppliers as much as we can. We believe this is crucial when running a local store as it is important that everyone supports each other as much as possible. We currently stock local produce from Krusty Loaf, Papworths Butchers, Izzi Rainey, Crush, The Norfolk Hub, Local Gin Distilleries and many more. We are constantly looking to add more to this so if you are interested please get in touch.
Community recognition
Since the refit in June 2013 the support has been outstanding and we have already been nominated and finalists for 2 awards: EDP Stars of Norfolk and Countryside Alliance Award.
